Brief description of what services your organisation offers
This service is provided by Solent NHS Trust and is delivered by two separate teams, Community Paediatric Medical Service (CPMS) receive referrals for young children 0-6 years and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) receive referrals for young people aged 6-18 years for concerns around Autism (Autistic Spectrum Disorder) or other developmental problems.
The ASD assessment pathway works to provide a comprehensive assessment of your child’s strengths, difficulties and development history in order to determine whether their difficulties fit with a diagnosis of ASD or another developmental disorder. Alongside this, we have a Liaison & Support Worker whose role it is to support parents through the process by providing advice and guidance, as well as signposting to community-based support to widen the family support network and promote positive outcomes for children.
