Northern Parade ASD Parent Support
What service, suport or interventions do you offer?
We offer a monthly coffee morning for parents/carers of children diagnosed with, or on the pathway to diagnosis of ASD/Autism.  Various professionals from agencies linked to ASD also attend to give advice and information on what's on in Portsmouth.  We have had professionals from CAMHS, Portsmouth Parent Voice, Portsmout Autism Support Network attend and we hope to have occupational therapist attend soon.

At Northern Parade School, Doyle Avenue, Portsmouth, PO2 9NE
Who can access your service?
This is mainly available for parents/carers north of the city of Portsmouth.  However, we would welcome all parents who wish to access the group.  We are a mainstream school, however would welcome parents of those children who are not in mainstream in the hope we can offer some support for them as well.

What will the cost be?
There is no cost
What do you expect children, young people and their families to gain from using your service?
For parent/carers to socialise with other parents of ASD children and to share and learn strategies to improve their understanding of ASD. To recognise their is a positive side to ASD, to form positive behaviour management strategies and improve the quality of life for themselves and their children
